Yıldız Holding Greets the Holy Month of Ramadan with the Exhibition “Female Artists– Esmâs and Hilyes”

Presenting our traditional arts to a wide audience at its Exhibition Hall in Çamlıca every year during the month of Ramadan, Yıldız Holding hosts the exhibition “Female Artists – Esmâs and Hilyes” this year. Art lovers will also be able to view the 75 works by female illumination artists via the digital exhibition catalogue between April 12 and June 18.

Yıldız Holding continues to present special exhibitions that reflect the spiritual climate of the holy month of Ramadan every year to art lovers. Curated by art consultant and researcher-writer İbrahim Ethem Gören, this year’s traditional Ramadan exhibition, features 75 works under the title “Female Artists – Esmâs and Hilyes” between April 12 and June 18 at Yıldız Holding Exhibition Hall in Çamlıca. Highlighting that this year exhibition focuses on the works produced by female artists, Yıldız Holding Chair Ali Ülker said the following about the exhibition “Female Artists – Esmâs and Hilyes”: “Through this year’s traditional Ramadan exhibition which features works of art that nourish our souls and relieve our hearts, we aim to further enhance the visibility of our female artists’ contributions to the arts of calligraphy and illumination. We are happy to introduce the works of 30 valuable female artists to art lovers through this exhibition curated by İbrahim Ethem Gören.”

Art consultant and researcher-writer İbrahim Ethem Gören, the curator of the exhibition “Female Artists– Esmâs and Hilyes,” highlighted that our traditional arts heal the soul: “Our exhibition is a new link of the events organized by Yıldız Holding out of respect for the month of Ramadan which symbolizes mercy and grace… In this link, you will witness the efforts of contemporary illumination artists to present to contemporary people the beautiful names of Allah and the pure characteristics of our Beloved Prophet in the naive language of the art of illumination.
