ŞOK Marketler continues its efforts to strengthen the disaster area economically and sustain agricultural production. ŞOK Marketler has harvested the ripe lemons in the orchards of Hatay, Arsuz, in collaboration with the producers and put them on sale in its stores to support local farmers.

Supporting local farmers to ensure the continuity of local agricultural practices in the disaster area following the big earthquake, ŞOK Marketler has harvested the ripe lemons in the orchards of Hatay, Arsuz in collaboration with the producers and purchased them. Agricultural produce sitting in the fields and on trees, facing the risk of spoilage in the disaster area, inhabited by thousands of farmers and producers, is now on sale for consumers in ŞOK Marketler stores. This effort is a significant step to prevent ripe produce from rotting on branches and provide farmers with income opportunities to help the region’s recovery.

Uğur Demirel: “We are working to protect fertile Anatolian soils and local producers.”

Protecting this value and ensuring the continuity of agricultural production is critical for our country and the region’s economic recovery.
