Commenting on the first 6 months of 2020, ŞOK Marketler CEO Uğur Demirel said: “Our customer-oriented business strategy has been the core of our success in this period. With this strategy, we continued to open new stores, to provide employment opportunities, and to contribute to the national economy. In the first 6 months of the year, we employed 3,672 people and became a very large family of 33,410 employees. We have been continuing to implement the precautions against the COVID-19 pandemic very strictly from day one. Knowing the importance of social distancing during the pandemic, we launched our home delivery service CepteŞok (Şok in Pocket), which became very popular among consumers. With Cepte Şok, we deliver the products they need, without any ‘extra delivery fee’ and with the ‘same prices as on the shelves’. We will continue to contribute to the social and economic development of our country and to grow stronger together.”
