Turkey’s pioneering packaging company Polinas has received “Zero Waste Certificates” for all its facilities as a result of its sustainability efforts.
Operating under the roof of Yıldız Holding, Turkey’s leading packaging company Polinas has received a ‘Zero Waste Certificate’ for each of its three facilities. Granted by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization to companies that establish and run a zero waste management system in their facilities, Zero Waste Certification includes the processes of preventing wastefulness, more efficient use of resources, preventing or minimizing waste generation by reviewing its causes and, in the event that waste is generated, separately collecting and recycling it on site. Implementing significant sustainability projects, Polinas will contribute to raising awareness on environmentally conscious production in the packaging sector through the Zero Waste Certificates it received for all three of its facilities established on a total area of 190 thousand m2.
Önaldı: “We are growing in an environmentally respectful manner”
Remarking that the company attaches great importance to sustainability projects in line with its goal of becoming a ‘waste-free company,’ Polinas CEO Faik Önaldı said: “We adopt an environmentally respectful approach in each of our operational phases. We have made significant contributions to recycling through the projects we developed in recent years to reduce the total waste generated by Polinas facilities. And now, with the Zero Waste Certificates we have received for our facilities in three different locations, we continue our sustainability projects uninterruptedly.”
