During the visit, Yıldız Holding team and Halal Accreditation Agency officials exchanged views on current practices in food safety and regulations associated with the implementation of standards regarding halal food products.

Officials from Halal Accreditation Agency (HAA), which has been established under the Ministry of Commerce to provide halal accreditation services to halal conformity assessment bodies located in and outside Turkey, conducted a visit to İbrahim Taşkın, Board Member of Yıldız Holding and Chair of Yıldız Holding’s Food Safety Board. During the visit, Zafer Soylu, President of HAA, and the accompanying delegation pointed out the significance of the accreditation mechanism and presented various issues regarding this mechanism. 

After thanking Zafer Soylu, the President of HAA, for their visit, İbrahim Taşkın said “Since the establishment of our company, we have prioritized the sensitivities of our consumers and implemented global standards in our businesses. Today, in our production facilities and R&D centers located in and outside Turkey, we completely fulfill our responsibility to consumers regarding halal food on a global scale. Today, the fact that products bearing Yıldız Holding brands are identified with the words ‘Quality’ and ‘Trust’ is widely accepted and this would not be possible without this approach and our sensitivity that started with the establishment of our company and continued ever since. I find our meeting with the valued President and officials of the Halal Accreditation Agency on this subject matter, which we truly care about and take responsibility for, very important.”
