McVitie's Milk Chocolate Biscuits, the England’s number one biscuit brand, which has also won the hearts of consumers in Türkiye, celebrated its 100th anniversary with an event that reflected both Turkish and English culture.
Pladis, the global snack company of Yıldız Holding, celebrated the 100th anniversary of its iconic McVitie's Milk Chocolate Biscuit, the England's number one biscuit brand, with a special event in Istanbul that blended Turkish and English cultures. Following celebrations in London, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Cairo, the Istanbul event offered guests an impressive experience showcasing the brand's century-long journey in flavor.
At the event, the century-old flavor story of McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Biscuits, stretching from London to Istanbul, was told through a visual world and interactive experience areas that blended Turkish and English cultural symbols.
The most popular parts of the event were the delicious treats prepared by Chef Maksut Aşkar, inspired by McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Biscuits and the dessert cultures of both countries, and the special works by artist Ardan Özmenoğlu, which combined McVitie’s biscuits with iconic symbols of Türkiye and England. The performances by DJ Kaan Düzarat and Jabbar added a touch of excitement to the event.

McVitie’s has been producing the England’s favourite biscuits and cakes since 1839. McVitie’s Harlesden factory, Europe’s largest biscuit production facility, has a production capacity of 80 million biscuits per day during peak seasons – 30 million sweet and 50 million savory. The story of McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Biscuit began in 1925 at the Harlesden plant in London, when the original biscuit was first offered for sale coated in chocolate.
