Consolidated Net Sales Revenue of Kerevitaş Reached Approximately TL 1,4 Billion in the First Half of 2020

Turkey’s leading fresh frozen food and margarine company Kerevitaş reached a consolidated net sales revenue of TL 1,382.3 million in the first half of 2020 with a year-on-year increase of 7.9 percent.
Kerevitaş, Turkey’s leading fresh frozen food and margarine company operating under YILDIZ Holding, has made its financial statement for the first half of 2020 to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). According to the statement, the company’s consolidated net sales revenue in the first half reached TL 1,382.3 million, with a year-on-year increase of 7.9 percent. In addition, consolidated gross profit increased to TL 327.4 million, while EBIDTA was recorded as TL 195.2 million.
Superfresh increased its market share with new products in the first half of 2020
Superfresh, the leader brand of Kerevitaş in the frozen food industry, continued its growth strategy through innovative products and increased its market share by 3 percentage points. Offering Turkey’s first “Brick-Oven Pizza” and “Pan Pastry” to consumers in the Frozen Pizza-Pastry segment, Superfresh also attracted attention with its innovative “Pizza Toast” product that is cooked on a sandwich toaster, “Pastry with Meat and Vegetables” as a local dish, “Chocolate Cake” in the Frozen Desserts segment, and “Falafel” as an international dish. On the other hand, within the Frozen Vegetables segment, new products including frozen broccolis, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and winter mix were launched in the first half of the year.
Besler reached the highest market share of the last three years
Besler, by far the leader of its industry, reached the highest market share of the last three years in this quarter with 57 percent revenue share in the overall Turkish market and 67 percent in the branded products market. While the overall market revenue grew by 29 percent year-on-year, Besler achieved a successful performance with 33 percent growth. The major drive behind this success has been the high performance of Bizim Yağ and Teremyağ brands. As the leader in the overall market and packaged products market, Bizim Yağ increased its share in the revenue by 42 percent year-on-year and Turkey’s leading cup margarine brand Teremyağ reached 49.3 share in the revenue.

Kerevitaş and Fats & Oils Business Unit CEO Şükrü Çin stated the following on the performance for the first six months: “Despite the impact of the pandemic, we continued our production, sales and distribution operations uninterruptedly. Although out-of-home consumption and export markets showed a consolidated decline in this period, we successfully achieved year-on-year growth. We maintained our leadership in the market with innovative products and brands offered to consumers. In addition, by fully implementing all precautions against COVID-19, our Kerevitaş and Besler factories have been entitled to COVID-19 Safe Production Certification by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE). This certification has been another evidence to our reliable success in terms of hygiene.”
