Bizim Toptan Achieves 91.5 Percent Growth in Net Sales Income

10.05.2023

Bizim Toptan maintained its growth in the first quarter of 2023, supported by its successful performance in the out-of-home (OOH) consumption channel aimed at corporate customers, with a year-on-year increase of 91.5 percent in net sales income.

Türkiye’s most expansive organized wholesale store chain with the highest number of stores, Bizim Toptan, reported its financial results for the first quarter to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). Bizim Toptan achieved a net sales income of TRY 4.5 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 91.5 in the first three months of 2023. Bizim Toptan’s growth in the out-of-home (OOH) consumption channel aimed at hotels, restaurants, cafes, and gas stations contributed positively to its first-quarter financial results. Bizim Toptan maintained its successful performance into the new year despite the negative impact of the earthquake disaster through its growth in the OOH consumption channel and various customer groups, its new stores, digital infrastructure investments, and its franchise model, Seç Market, which reached 2 thousand 500 stores.

Having quickly dispatched 50 trucks of relief supplies in collaboration with aid organizations immediately after the earthquake disaster and offered fresh meals in the area, Bizim Toptan works to help with the region’s economic recovery. After restoring its damaged stores in the area, the company replaced its torn-down store in Iskenderun with a tent store, offering a broad product portfolio to ensure uninterrupted contribution to the local economy and supply to the people.

Balcı: “We will continue supporting our customers and trade operations through our investments in 2023 too.”

Commenting on Bizim Toptan’s first-quarter financial results, Bizim Toptan CEO Hüseyin Balcı said: “We continued increasing our revenue and customer number in the first quarter of 2023 too, thanks to our omnichannel sales model, growth in the out-of-home consumption channel, and investments in stores and warehouses. We took new steps to control our costs by making environmentally-friendly investments in this period, such as the rooftop solar power system we installed in our Gebze store. Unfortunately, the major earthquake disaster on February 6 deeply impacted our entire nation. As we do our part to contribute to the national mobilization to relieve the wounds, we are working to restore our damaged Bizim Toptan and Seç Market stores in the area to keep serving the local people uninterruptedly. Throughout 2023, we will continue our efforts to overcome the economic effects of the earthquake disaster across the country and support our customers and trade operations through our investments and projects.”
