London Business School chooses Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform As Case Study

Yıldız Holding continues making its mark globally through its projects aimed at encouraging women’s entrepreneurship and supporting women’s inclusion into the economy. The London Business School has made Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform’s efforts toward equal opportunities into a case study. 

At the launching meeting held by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) at Harvard Club of New York, the case study on the projects implemented by Yıldız Holding companies to support women’s entrepreneurship was shared with United Nations representatives, Non-Governmental Organizations, and private sector representatives.  

In her speech at the event “Building Effective Ecosystems to Promote Women’s Entrepreneurship,” which brought together many opinion leaders and organizations working for equal opportunities,  Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform Ambassador Begüm Mutuş said: “Operating with a focus on diversity and inclusion, which are among Yıldız Holding's primary global values, our Women’s Platform has taken many leading steps toward women’s empowerment so far. We are happy and proud to see that the practices it has implemented within this scope to establish equal opportunities in all areas, and particularly to promote women’s entrepreneurship, are being shared with the whole world in the form of a case study by the London Business School.”

Sharing his appreciation of Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform’s efforts toward strengthening women’s participation in the economy and supporting women’s entrepreneurship being cited as an example globally, Yıldız Holding Chair Ali Ülker said: “Driven by our focus on diversity and inclusion, we aim to create equal opportunities for everyone across our value chain. We work toward a more sustainable future, contributing to women’s empowerment through projects and collaborations spanning our entire ecosystem. The fact that our joint efforts with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) were cited as an example before the whole world in a UN General Assembly exclusive session recently and our projects are now being reported as a case study by the London Business School clearly demonstrates our dedication.”

An Impact of USD 10 Million Achieved

The projects implemented by Yıldız Holding, a strategic partner of the UN Women’s Women Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme, have enabled an impact of USD 10 million for women entrepreneurs in the last three years.

Success crowned with awards

Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform crowns its successful efforts toward equal opportunities with the awards it receives. The Platform won the “Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year” at the AIDEX 2023 Global Humanitarian Aid Event and a bronze award in the category of “Achievement in Developing and Promoting Women” as part of the Stevie Awards. Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform most recently won an award in the category of “Gender Equality Consciousness” at the Women-Friendly Brands (Kadın Dostu Markalar) Awareness Awards.
